Javier bardem brings unhinged terror to dark apple tv series 'cape fear'

Javier Bardem is back to his unsettling best as the vengeful Max Cady in the upcoming Apple TV series 'Cape Fear', a darker reimagining of the classic 1962 novel and 1991 film.

Facing his worst nightmare

Patrick Wilson and Amy Adams star as an affluent suburban couple whose lives are upended when Cady, a convicted murderer released from prison, seeks revenge against them for putting him behind bars. In the show's first trailer, Bardem's Cady appears even more sinister than in the original, sporting freaky tattoos that hint at a demonic influence.

Directed by Martin Scorsese, who also executive produces alongside Steven Spielberg, the ten-episode limited series aims to outdo its predecessors in terms of sheer terror. Bardem's performance, in particular, looks set to be a masterclass in malevolence. With the series premiering June 5, fans of dark, unsettling drama have plenty to look forward to.
